K.C. and Phantom: The Bronx



You know what? Each person is different, but I think the general consensus is: 'If our doors are locked, our windows are closed, we’re not peeking out the window to see what the ruckus is about, then we’re safe.'

Once you step outside your door, you can get shot. Somebody can come up and mug you. Or you can get hit by a car crossing the street from your house. There’s no real safe place to be. You have your little comfort, got your TV... But what about out there? You have to travel outside your house, you have to go food shopping, you gotta shop for clothes, you have to just be outside, when you’re going to work… You’re not solving anything by pretending.
